Throwback Thursday: British invasion

Seventy-five years ago, on April 14, 1951, several thousand spectators gathered on the shores of the Housatonic to watch the Yale crew compete against rowers from the University of Cambridge. It was the first time a college crew from another country had competed in the US. And it didn't go well for the Yale varsity eight: Cambridge beat the Yanks by four boat lengths.
