Abundant cautionThe gates to the Old Campus are locked today. After the shootings in Sydney and at Brown this weekend, head of public safety Duane Lovello emailed the Yale community with news of heightened security. "Yale Public Safety is providing increased, high visibility security coverage on campus throughout the examination period and Chanukah celebrations," Lovello wrote. "In addition, the university will require card access to enter buildings at most campus locations." Lovello's message also reminded community members of counseling resources available at Yale. Final exams continue through Wednesday, and residence halls close on Thursday.  |
