On Saturday, the football team plays its last home game of the season against Princeton, finishing off a season-long celebration of the Yale Bowl’s centennial by honoring a few dozen “Legends of the Bowl” at halftime. Our November 5, 1937, cover featured a sharply dressed but oddly desultory quartet of football picnickers.
