Remember the long slog from the beginning of the term to Thanksgiving break? Three quarters of today’s Yale College students don’t. In 2012, the college introduced a five-day October recess (more often called fall break) to its academic calendar, giving students and faculty a midterm breather. This year’s break, which officially started yesterday at 11:00 pm, will make for a quiet campus for the next few days. Classes start again on Monday. ___________________________________________ The Yale Alumni Magazine is published by Yale Alumni Publications Inc., an alumni-based nonprofit that is not run by Yale University.
