Today would be the first day back to classes for students, but since it’s Martin Luther King’s birthday, classes will wait till tomorrow. On tap at the university: an exhibit at Sterling Memorial Library (pictured) on visits to the university by Dr. King and his wife Coretta; music, dance, poetry, and storytelling at the Peabody Museum; a concert by the Yale Gospel Choir; and much more. (See schedule of events here.) On Wednesday, NAACP president Cornell Brooks ’90JD, subject of our November/December cover story, will give the Martin Luther King Jr. keynote address.
