Allegra di Bonaventura, a highly regarded member of the administration at the Yale Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, died April 29, 2026, in New Haven. She was 62.

Di Bonaventura began working at Yale in 2008, first at the Yale University Library, and then at the Benjamin Franklin Papers, where she applied “her expertise in history, her linguistic abilities in German, French, and Italian, and her editorial skills,” as reported in YaleNews. She was appointed the lead academic dean at GSAS in 2021.
