In Remembrance: Peter Passof ’64MF Died on January 25 2026

Pete was born in New York City on March 4, 1937, to a French Catholic mother and a Russian Jewish father. He received a master’s in forestry at Yale in 1964 from the Yale School of Environment and spent most of his career with the University of California Cooperative Extension as a forest advisor in Ukiah, California. Pete loved sailing, windsurfing, hunting, abalone diving and fishing with family and friends.
