In Remembrance: Harry Oliver Stoutland MD '62 Died on January 3 2026

H. Oliver (“Ollie”) Stoutland, age 89, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, after a brief illness.

He graduated from Huxley High School in Iowa in 1954; St. Olaf College in 1958; and medical school at Yale University in 1962. Following a year of residency at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, he began his family practice career in the small town of Ackley, Iowa.

He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow and attending their school events, sporting events, baptisms, first communions, and graduations. He also took treasured pictures and videos at these events to preserve his family history. His sense of humor was always present and will be greatly missed.
