In Remembrance: Marshall Williams MFA '95 Died on December 21 2025

Marshall Butler Williams passed away suddenly on December 21, 2025, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, South Carolina. He was 72 years old. 

Marshall's lifelong dedication to the arts was matched by his commitment to community service. He served on the board of the Improbable Players, a theater troupe addressing addiction and recovery through performance. After its merger with COAAST to form 2nd Act in 2021, he became Board President. He also managed the Bob Jolly Charitable Trust, honoring Boston actors with the Bob Jolly Award.

Marshall is remembered by many friends and loved ones, including his girlfriend Missie Cleek, his brother Stuart Williams, and a wide circle of extended family. His creativity, kindness, and vibrant spirit leave a lasting legacy.
