In Remembrance: Gilbert W. Lawall ’61PhD Died on August 7 2025

Gilbert W. Lawall died peacefully on August 7, 2025. He was 88. After earning his PhD, he taught at Yale for a few years before moving to Amherst College and UMass Amherst, where he remained until retirement in 2001.
