In Remembrance: James A. Hanson ’61, ’67PhD Died on June 30 2019

James Arthur “Jim” Hanson passed away on June 30, 2019, following a three-year battle with Alzheimer's disease. An economist, he taught at Brown University for 15 years and then worked for many years at the World Bank.

The Washington Post carried a full obituary on July 9, 2019.

    I just discovered this remembrance for Professor Hanson in trying to track him down. He was a member of my thesis committee at Yale, and I treasure the memory of his wonderful positive spirit, so nicely captured in the Washington Post obituary.

    I do hope these very belated condolences succeed in reaching his family.
