In Remembrance: Rufus Hendon ’60PhD Died on September 5 2018

Rufus Hendon passed away on September 5, 2018. After receiving his B.A and PhD from the University of Chicago and Yale University, respectively Hendon became a professor of linguistics at Yale until retiring in 1988. During his retirement he continued his interest in Indonesian language, inspired by his fieldwork there a few decades prior.
