By the numbers: making Yale more affordable

In January, the university announced that, beginning this fall, students from families with annual incomes under $100,000 can attend Yale College for free, an increase from the previous limit of $75,000. The college will also cover the cost of tuition with grants for families with annual incomes under $200,000. The new numbers bring Yale in line with Harvard, which enacted the same policy last year.
