As smart as they are, some incoming Yale students need to be told where to cross the street: at the crosswalk. This fall, administrators turned an iconic rock image—the Beatles’ 1969 Abbey Road album cover—into a campus poster and pedestrian safety lesson. Crossing College Street—and standing in for George, Paul, Ringo, and John—are (left to right) Yale Chief of Police Ronnell Higgins, President Peter Salovey ’86PhD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics Kirsten Bechtel (who chairs the Traffic Safety Committee), and Provost Ben Polak. The poster was a big hit, but let’s hope it doesn’t spark a bunch of “Peter is dead” rumors.
