In Remembrance: Oktay Sinanoglu Died on April 19 2015

Oktay Sinanoğlu, a member of the Yale faculty for 37 years, died April 19, 2015, at the age of 80. He was professor emeritus of chemistry and molecular biophysics and biochemistry, having joined Yale's faculty in 1960.  

While at Yale, Sinanoğlu proposed a number of theories, and became known for a research system he devised,  “Sinanoğlu Made Simple,” which used pictures and periodic tables to help chemists predict outcomes and solve problems in the laboratory.

Yale University posted a tribute to Sinanoğlu on April 20, 2015.
