Commencement 2010
The Year in T-Shirts

The most infamous member of the Class of 2010 (T-shirt division) was a proposed Freshman College Council tee for The Game calling Harvard men “sissies.” Gay students protested, the dean objected, and the FCC withdrew the design—setting off cries of “Censorship!” by some.

With Teegate long over, the Yale Alumni Magazine wondered: what about the other 2009–10 shirts? How creative were the designs, how varied the projects on tees this year? Our research revealed: very.
