Bladderball—an
annual part of Yale life from 1954 until it was banned in 1982—made a comeback
on October 10. About a thousand students joined the unauthorized game, lofting
the ball around the campus and tying up traffic on Elm Street along the way.
Many students saw it as all in good fun, but in the aftermath, all of the
residential college masters and deans signed a letter to the Yale Daily News denouncing the game
as dangerous. |
