A
glass-walled courtyard will be the focal point of the School of Management’s
new home, which is to be completed by 2012 on a Whitney Avenue site across from
the Peabody Museum.

The design, by the London architecture firm of Lord Norman
Foster ’62MArch, was unveiled at an SOM town meeting in December. Dean Sharon
Oster says the building will feature classrooms designed to suit the school’s recently
revamped curriculum. But the plan could be delayed by budget-cutting measures
unless donor funding can be secured. "I'm going to work hard to raise the money
for this," says Oster. |
