Do-it yourself crosswalks

©Mark Zurolo '01MFA

It’s a Yale tradition almost as hallowed as singing "Bright College Years": jaywalking across Elm Street between York and College. But in September, the Yale Police raised students' hackles by issuing citations—albeit without fines—to anyone who crossed outside the crosswalk.
