Identity Politics When the Yale Alumni Magazine started working on a new design, which you see for the first time in this issue, we looked at several possibilities for a logo. Hardly any were without precedent. (For more on the redesign and logo, see From the Editor.) In our 112 years, we've gone from sober to sassy and back again more than once. 3-D letters? Done it. A university seal? Yep. All lower-case? Of course. We'd like to think our new design will never change, but history suggests otherwise. If you like it, enjoy. If not, sit back and wait a few years.
