Old Brick Row, built 1750-1835; demolished 1869-1901
For more than a century, these eight Old Campus buildings were the image of Yale: long dormitories like Connecticut Hall interrupted by churchlike structures housing classrooms and chapels. The arrangement, suggested by John Trumbull, was copied at several other campuses. Today, only Connecticut Hall remains.
