Dear New Haven Alumni:

Can't get to Kentucky for the Derby?  The AYA invites you to Mory’s Temple Bar on Saturday, May 2 from 5 – 8 pm for a Kentucky Derby party.  The Derby is known as the greatest two minutes in sport, and what better way to enjoy the 141st running than members of the New Haven Yale Alumni Family.  See old friends, make new ones while enjoying a traditional  Kentucky buffet of burgoo, chicken croquettes, country ham biscuits and other Southern treats.  Mint juleps (of course) will be the special drink for the evening along with Bloody Marys, house wine, and draft beer!  The widescreen TVs in the Temple Bar will be tuned in for the race.

Special Note:  All are encouraged (but by no means required) to dress for the event, and that means hats, seersucker suits, hats, white bucks, and hats!

Where:  Mory’s Temple Bar,  306 York St. New Haven, Ct

How Much:  $40

This all-in price includes the Kentucky buffet and two drink tokens good for Mint Juleps, Bloody Marys, house wine and draft beer.  For the extra thirsty, a cash bar (w/drinks favorably priced At $7--including tax and tip) will be at the ready.

At this low registration fee, this event is an exceptional value and we expect the event to sell out early.
