Men in the mirror

Perez Hilton, who is famous for being famous, has bestowed instant celebrity upon Yale junior Sam Tsui by linking to a video of Tsui singing a Michael Jackson medley.

Actually, the video is of Tsui, Tsui, Tsui, Tsui, Tsui, and Tsui — wearing the same jeans and sneakers but three different shirts — magically edited into a one-man a cappella group on the stage of what appears to be the Law School auditorium. Tsui generously trades silky lead vocals with himself as he doo-doos his way through MJ hits from “I’ll Be There” to “Beat It.” To the side of the stage stands arranger/producer Kurt Schneider ‘10, “conducting.”

Odd, yes — but what do you expect from a Michael Jackson tribute?
