Hard at work on a quirky new musical? Well, hurry up and finish that draft so you can send it to the Yale School of Drama’s 2010 Yale Institute for Music Theatre.
Submission deadline is January 11 for the June 2010 institute, which aims “to identify distinctive and original music theatre works by emerging composers and writers, and match them with collaborators who can help them further develop their work in an unpressured workshop setting.” No pressure — but as Hartford Courant theater critic Frank Rizzo points out, one of last year’s workshop winners is about to premiere at the Yale Rep.
