It is my sad responsibility to report to you today the death of a Yale College student from Branford College, Andre Narcisse. His roommates found him to be unresponsive this morning and alerted authorities immediately, including Master Steven Smith of Branford College. Emergency medical personnel came to Branford College and attempted to resuscitate the student, but they were unable to do so. Andre Narcisse, of Roosevelt, New York, was a member of the Class of 2012. There does not appear to be any evidence of foul play. I will be in touch as soon as more information is available. This is a tragic event for the Yale community and our hearts go out to Andre’s family and friends.
