Most of the things you’ll find at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History are very, very old. But in March, these brand new creatures were on display as part of an exhibition about dinosaur eggs and babies. The museum put a half-dozen dark-green emu eggs in a glass-enclosed incubator in the exhibition to help illustrate the evolutionary connection between dinosaurs and modern birds. The resulting chicks spent three weeks at the museum before moving on to a Massachusetts emu farm. The exhibition, Tiny Titans, runs through August 30—and more chicks are expected in May.
